No longer is cross-cultural competency limited to Americans doing business overseas. Recent events- George Floyd riots, January 6 Capitol insurrection, murder of six Asian spa workers in Atlanta- all evidence Americans are not talking with each other, not working together and not understanding each other. The problem is a changing America as demographics show that by 2043 non-whites will outnumber whites and by 2027 American youth will be non-whites who have different cultures and ethnicities. Cross-cultural competency in America is needed now to invest to keep America strong and in the world.
